Hello fellow floaters. The river is down to normal after a spring that saw high water from dam releases upstream, and heavy rain. The lower section is still a foot high as Muskegon lake and Lake Michigan are near record highs. It is flowing about 4-5 mph, and the middle section is starting to get some very shallow sections. You may have to do the butt shimmy or get out and pull your kayak thru the sandy spots if you are larger in size, and choose that section. My Wednesday evening sunset floats have started. For only $10, take the lower float and watch the sun set as you drift down the river. Every Wednesday (weather permitting)from 7-9pm. Only the first 13 people who call 231-740-0227 and sign up each week get the half price deal. My Full Moon Floats have all sold out except for Oct. 24th. I have waiting lists for all the dates as people often cancel. If interested in going, give me a call and get on a waiting list. The dates are listed on my home page near the bottom. Thanks and happy floating, Guy.
New this year (2015) I have gift certificates available for purchase. Great for graduation or wedding parties, or for church groups. Gift certificates can be for any amount you choose. Call 231-740-0227 for details.
For any veteran I am knocking $5 off a kayak rental, and disabled vets receive a free rental with another rental purchase. Just bring proof of service when you take your float. Thank you for your service.
For any Lake Michigan Water Trail visitors, I will transport your kayak(s) upstream from the mouth of the Muskegon river so you can enjoy a float downstream. Just call (231)740-0227 and I will transport you and your kayaks upstream for $15 per kayak for a 3 hr float.
